Senior Program Specialist – Chairperson of the Visual Arts Department Los Angeles County High School for the Arts The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (“LACHSA”) is seeking a highly accomplished and experienced artist and art educator to lead one of the nation’s finest conservatory-style art programs. All students are taught by professional working artists in extended arts periods. The Visual Arts Department offers sequenced, comprehensive, and advanced courses in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Illustration, Animation, Photography, Ceramics, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Experimental Film, Art History, and more.

Experience and education Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience Five or more years of professional work as an artist, with a curriculum vitae (CV) representative of the candidate’s level of the achievement, arts teaching in an institutional setting with high achieving arts students, and significant administrative or management experience. Education Preferably a master's degree in Visual Arts or related field.
