About the Employer Rex and Margaret Fortune School of Education is a comprehensive education system including, non-profit preschools, a network of tuition-free, public charter schools (TK-12th), and a school of education with a masters programs and educator preparations programs accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. in Sacramento/San Bernardino County. We prepare students for college starting in preschool Transitional Kindergarten in San Bernardino and Sacramento Counties and are focused on closing the African American achievement gap. The Master Teacher will also utilize the following strategies to guide and support all teachers. Additional Benefits: Paid Time Off : 12 paid sick days, 12 paid vacation days and 2 paid floater days.           ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Materials Training On-going Professional Development (in collaboration with School Leaders and Chief Academic Officer and Instruction) Co-Planning (year-long pacing & weekly lesson plans development and feedback) Co-Teaching & Demonstration Lessons Lesson Observation & Feedback Weekly Achievement Data Analysis, Reflection & Feedback Provide technical support in the use of Technology including, but not limited to Illuminate and Chromebooks Serve as Field Supervisor for Intern Teachers Weekly Report/Check-in with School Leaders on progress of Teachers Instruct Pre-Service/DI courses as necessary Qualifications: Valid California Teaching Credential Experience Teaching Achievement First’s Math Lessons Curriculum Preferred Minimum Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree or higher Working Conditions: Office environment: constant interruptions. Outdoor environment: driving a personal vehicle to conduct work; visit school sites; travel to other organizations and companies; meetings and workshops Physical Abilities: Hearing and speaking to conduct group training; exchange information in person, electronically, and on the telephone. Ability to read printed material and computer screens. Ability to hear and comprehend speech at normal volumes. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment. Kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies. Ability to climb stairs, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds.
