If all documents are not received your application will be considered incomplete and will remain in incomplete status. All substitute applicants will be subject to paper screening and an orientation. Edjoin Certificated Substitute Application Valid California Credential (Single Subject, Multiple Subject) or Emergency 30 Day Substitute Permit Resume Three current Letters of Recommendation (signed) Competence exam Scores - if applicable (CSET, PRAXIS/SSAT, MSAT or NTE) Basic Skills Requirement results (CBEST) Copy of Transcripts (post-high school) Unofficial transcripts are accepted The Newport-Mesa Unified School District reserves the right to select only those applicants it feels best represents the vision and goals of the District. The District reserves the right to release any substitute from employment without cause. **Note: Your application will not be considered until you have attached all required documents, if you are not a fully credentialed teacher and you still need to apply for your Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit, NMUSD recommends applying through the Orange County Department of Education. You can make an appointment to apply by calling (714)966-4306, you can also get your OCDE Clearinghouse Fingerprints, which are required to sub, at the same time.
