SCICON is the outdoor education school for Tulare County Office of Education. Over 9,000 sixth grade students each year attend SCICON for a week of science and conservation education. The SCICON campus is 1,100 acres and miles of trails and streams in a beautiful foothill setting. Every acre, building and improvement has been completed through volunteer effort or donations. This position functions as the primary health professional for the SCICON program and entails some of the following duties: Organize and maintains the SCICON Health Center; Is available to handle student health care, first aid and emergencies, around the clock while students are on the campus; Dispense student medications under written guidelines; Maintains student health records; Provides first aid and health in-service to SCICON staff. Plus paid medical, dental, vision, retirement & life insurance benefits; Year round housing on campus in spacious nurse’s residence and three bedroom home; Living and working in a beautiful natural setting; Opportunity to be involved in an exciting outdoor education program.
