THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY TEACHER RECRUITMENT FAIR is designed for fully credentialed candidates, therefore, you must have one of the following to attend: a clear, professional clear, or preliminary teaching credential; a preliminary or clear Career Technical Education Teaching Credential; proof of eligibility via appeasement letter that you will be fully credentialed by Fall 2021; or have a full credential from outside of California. To attend the virtual teacher fair as a pre-registered candidate, you must submit an online application before the deadline and submit a copy of your teaching credential. You can access a copy of your credential by visiting the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov. In order to be pre-registered for this virtual event, you need to apply and submit credential verification before the deadline which is Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 5 p.m.

CREDENTIAL/ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS *If you are a candidate with a California preliminary or clear teaching credential, you must forward a copy of your credential and CBEST score report to determine your eligibility. *If you are a candidate and have a teaching credential from another state, you will need to forward a copy of your credential(s) and copies of your transcripts to determine your eligibility. *If you are a candidate from a foreign country, you will need to forward copies of your evaluated transcripts to determine your eligibility. There is link included in this posting with a list of approved foreign transcript evaluation agencies. *If you are a candidate with at least one year experience in a teaching intern program, you will need to forward a copy of your internship credential to determine your eligibility. *If you are not yet credentialed and have not completed the University program, you will need to forward an appeasement letter from the University to determine your eligibility. LETTERS OF APPEASEMENT Must come from your University and must state the following: - Your full name - Anticipated program completion date prior to Fall 2021 - Expected credential level - Type of credential and subject authorization HOW DO I APPLY AND SUBMIT MY CREDENTIAL? This virtual event is an opportunity for those who seek certificated positions to meet with those who hire teachers and other certificated positions, including psychologists, counselors, school nurses, speech language pathologists and audiologists. Representatives from school districts will be virtually available for a day of focused interaction with teacher candidates through established zoom links. We are expecting approximately 42 different school districts and charter schools to have representatives at the event to meet with potential candidates about their current open certificated positions. IS PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED? No, however, only those who have completed the pre-registration process are eligible for priority virtual admittance at 9:00 a.m. WHAT IF I MISS THE DEADLINE FOR PRE-REGISTRATION? You will be eligible to attend at 11:00 a.m. if you verify your eligibility by providing copies of your credential or letter of appeasement the day of the virtual fair. SALARY AND WORK YEAR Salaries and work year vary according to district, charter school or county office. As an example, the Santa Clara County Office of Education has a 185-day, 11-month work year and our salary range is $63,897.15 - $122,730.85 for alternative education and special education teachers.
