Job Summary

Job Summary

The Central Office Resource Teacher will support the Online Learning Department in its collaborative efforts to build and implement a robust integrated system for serving each and every student. An essential responsibility will be assuring equitable access and academic rigor for students participating in courses on an online platform. Additionally, these positions will teach online courses which will include grading student work, tracking student progress to ensure student is on track to complete the course, motivating students in a distance learning environment to become self-disciplined and effective time managers, utilizing student data to provide individual and small group instruction, informing stakeholders of student progress through interaction with parent, teachers, counselors and other school personnel, and creating a positive learning environment in which students are encouraged to actively engage in the learning process.

Qualified applicants must have or be qualified to obtain a valid California issued Single Subject Credential in Math OR Single Subject Credential in Social Science AND English. Qualified applicants must also have minimum of four years of classroom teaching experience. Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
