Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor, performs duties relative to the health of students, including, but not limited to, the performance of duties that require nursing licensure; maintains health records; works in classroom, generally one to one with students with an Individual Health Care Plan to complete specified health care procedures necessary for providing access to school program and the development of educational program; performs clerical duties relating to student’s Individual Health Care Plan; and performs related work as required.

Education and Experience: Graduation from a National League of Nursing accredited school and possession of a current California Nursing license; one year of experience in a nursing or medical service program, including some clerical and/or recordkeeping experience; evidence of continuing education in the medical field; working experience with school-age children highly desirable. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance and a tuberculosis clearance. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions for the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential data form, which is attached to the job application. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment, but a failure to list all convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal. If you are selected for employment, you must provide original sealed transcripts and item 5 from Licenses and Other Requirements. Licenses and Other Requirements: 1. A current California Nursing License. 2. Valid California Class C driver's license. 3. Valid First Aid and CPR certificates issued by an authorized agency. 4. An automobile to be used in the course of work that meets the current legal requirements for vehicle operation in the State of California, including proof of insurance. 5. A current DMV driving report is required prior to employment.
