POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Executive Director, School of Education, The Director II, Administrative Credentialing is done for the purpose of planning, organizing, directing and administering the operations, activities, educational services and support functions of the RCOE Preliminary and Clear Administrative Services Credential Programs accredited through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In addition, the Director II coordinates and directs communications, personnel, resources, staff development services, credentialing functions, and information to meet the needs of new and aspiring administrators in Riverside County and outlying regions. This position is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team and Administrative Council. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience and a minimum of four (4) years administrative experience which would demonstrate exposure to and usage of requisite skills, knowledge and abilities in performing job related duties and responsibilities is required. Experience directing a program of administrative preparation is desirable. Administrative experience at the district or county office level is desirable. In addition, experience in the facilitation of large and small groups and designing and delivering presentations is required. REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Master’s Degree from an accredited College/University in Education, or closely related field is required.
