Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the Director provides leadership for preschool programs and the Local Child Care Planning Council. Works in collaboration with the Educational Services Department to deliver coherent, comprehensive preschool services and provides professional development learning opportunities in early education and development for preschool staff.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requires valid California Driver’s License, Child Development Program Director Permit and CPR/First Aid Certificate.

Bachelor’s degree with 24 early childhood education (ECE) units or Administrative credential with 12 units of ECE with 3 additional units of supervised field experience or teaching credential with 12 units of ECE with 3 additional units of supervised field experience and 6 units of administration or a Master’s Degree in ECE or Child/Human Development.
