Job Summary
St. Mel School seeks an Instructional Aide for 3rd grade to assist the 3rd grade classroom teacher. Duties include supervising students during recess and lunch; support student learning in small groups and individually; assist with classroom management and organization; take direction from the teacher preparing materials, making copies, recording grades, and supervising recess and lunch. The hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Additional responsibilities include before school assistance in carpool, cleaning, and sanitizing the bathrooms and classrooms during the school day. The candidate we are seeking must be a team player; works collaboratively; has a positive attitude; is self-directed, patient, kind, understanding, is a good listener; loves and values the students as individuals, and is a good communicator. St. Mel School is in Fair Oaks and services St. Mel Parish and the surrounding communities by providing a rigorous, standards-based curriculum for grades TK-8th grounded in the Catholic tradition.
