------------------------------------------ POSITION: This position is work of moderate difficulty in processing and maintaining the District's financial and statistical records within Accounts Payable; performs job-related duties. ----------------------------------------- All applicants are required to take and pass the written examination scheduled below. Areas covered on the examination are ten-key, math, name and number checking, numerical sequencing, filing, typing (35 net wpm), and memo composition. Calculators may be used on the math portion of the examination but will not be provided. Ten-key calculators are used for ten-key portion. Computers will be used for typing exercises and memo composition. Typing certificates for 35 net wpm, within the past six months, will be accepted or applicants may take timed typing test at exam (online/web typing certificates not accepted). Certificate must be submitted with application, by final filing date. ------------------------------------------ EXAMINATION INFORMATION: Location: Willow Creek Center, 1026 Mohr Lane, Concord: Computer Lab Date: Friday, October 9, 2020 OR Friday, October 23, 2020 Time: 9 AM (Approximate test time 2 ½ hours); no admittance once testing begins APPLICANTS WILL NOT BE CONTACTED WITH DATE AND TIME. -----------------------------------------

REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must possess the knowledge and skill required for successful job performance as follows: TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: •Completion of high school level bookkeeping coursework •Two years of clerical experience with emphasis on the maintenance of fiscal records •Or an equivalent combination of training and experience KNOWLEDGE OF: •Bookkeeping terminology, principles and practices including the keeping of financial accounts and records and the preparation of reports •Modern office practices, procedures and equipment •The laws, regulations, policies and specialized record keeping procedures relevant to the department SKILL IN: •All phases of financial record keeping •Making arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately •The operation of a variety of office equipment •Establishing effective working relationships ABILITY TO: •Interpret and apply rules and regulations
