* * * POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED * * * LYNWOOD ADULT SCHOOL HAS 3 PART-TIME POSITIONS FOR LVN INSTRUCTORS. SCHEDULES: . DAYTIME 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM - 3 DAYS A WEEK - TOTAL OF 21 HRS/WK. ( 2 POSITIONS) . EVENING 5 PM - 8 PM - 4 DAYS A WEEK - TOTAL OF 12 HRS/WK. ( 1 POSITION) TEACHING THEORY AND CLINICAL SUPERVISION DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Principal or administration, the VN Nursing instructor delivers class (theory) and or Clinical instruction to VN students according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods. The instructor will provide instruction that meets State regulations and compliance standards. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Current active California License as a Registered Nurse (RN) required without restrictions . Current CPR Card from the American Heart Association . Three years of experience as a nurse with at least one year’s experience working in a long term care facility . Position contingent upon approval of the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician (BVNPT) OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: . Current California Driver's License . Three years minimum teaching experience as a nurse with at least one year’s experience working in a long term care facility. . Must meet State minimum nursing and teaching experience requirements prior to assuming role of instructor. . Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. . Ability to read, analyze, and apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions in written and oral English. . Ability to set priorities. . Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and students.
