EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor of Arts or higher degree from an accredited institution, including emphasis in accounting, budget planning, business management or closely related fields and at least four years of responsible accounting and financial record management reporting experience, including two years in an educational organization management or supervisory capacity. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE • Knowledge of principles, methods, practices and procedures of school district accounting, budget planning and preparation, fiscal record management, purchasing and data processing systems. • Knowledge of legal mandates, policies and regulations pertaining to accounting, payroll, purchasing and warehouse, and fiscal record management and reporting. • Knowledge of accounting procedures and reporting requirements related to education categorical programs. • Ability to perform responsible and technical accounting, purchasing and warehouse, budget development and preparation and fiscal planning function and activities. • Ability to prepare, review, audit and verify financial statements and related summaries and reports. • Ability to utilize computer-based financial reporting systems, including the County and State financial reporting software programs, to successfully complete mandated financial management and reporting tasks. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form, and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. • Ability to organize, supervise, train and evaluate the work of accounting, fiscal, payroll, purchasing, warehouse, and print shop personnel. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
