The Board of Trustees is seeking a highly qualified and fully certified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position as soon as possible. The Qualifications *An Instructional Leader who supports staff development and research based practices and is capable of motivating the school community to implement and support the learning standards for all students *A Financial Officer with a working knowledge of school budget construction, fiscal management, capital improvements and a demonstrated ability to balance a sound philosophy of education with the community’s ability to provide economic support *A Long Range Planner who seeks input from the school community stakeholders and supports the shared decision-making process *A Communicator who is capable of developing, articulating, and implementing the District’s goals and plans through written and oral presentations *A willingness to be Visible, Interactive, and Involved with staff, students, parents, and community members *Child-centered and an Advocate for learners and their needs *A Problem Solver who is skilled in identifying and analyzing problems, developing priorities, and implementing practical solutions Minimum of 5 years Teaching experience Administrative experience required Superintendent experience preferred
