Job Summary

Job Summary

The SPED Compliance Assistant will provide overall supervision of all timelines related to federal law and, more specifically, the scheduling of timely IEP meetings along with all associated paperwork. In coordination with the SPED Administrative Support, Special Education teachers, Program Specialists, Asst. Special Education Director and Director of Special Education, performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the special education program ensuring federal and state compliance. The SPED Compliance Assistant is expected to work cooperatively with team members and others to enable the departments to provide the highest level of service possible. Creativity and productivity is encouraged and valued. The incumbent should always work in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Tuberculosis (TB) tests every four years; and passing the relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) background review.
