Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Superintendent/Asst. Superintendent, performs a broad array of personnel management functions for the District; supervises confidential District Office support staff; processes and maintains various legal documents, records, correspondence and communications and assists the Superintendent(s) in oversight of the District Office. Coordinates personnel matters including recruitment and hiring processes. Acts as the District Credential Analyst assuring compliance with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing regulations as set forth in California Education Code. Coordinates and participates in the processing of all District payrolls and payroll taxes. Acts as the Lead Assignment Monitor for CalSAAS and liaison to HCOE. Provides information on credentialing and job application assistance upon request. Organizes and participates in District Office communications, employment interviews and acts as the Superintendent(s) designee in District personnel and HR related matters. Serves on the District Negotiating Team and researches information for collective bargaining and Board policy development. Acts as a liaison for legal services to advise the Superintendent/Asst. Supt and Board in all matters of Human Resource, Communications, Payroll and Business Administrating.

Demonstrated completion of at least a two (2) year college program which resulted in an Associate’s Degree or equivalent, with an emphasis in public administration or a closely related field; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; Additional equivalent experience may be substituted for college education year for year. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in a public school or similar agency; Additional, progressively responsible experience in a human resources or school setting may substitute for formal education.
