Arete Charter Academy Education Advisor Specialist Mild/Moderate Arete provides an alternative approach to education built on customized learning for those families who embrace the responsibility of educating their children within the home. Arete Charter Academy will serve students from Kindergarten through 8th grades. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Teacher’s instructional duties include, but are not limited to: • Writing IEPs (Individual Education Plan) • Developing academic and behavioral programs • Developing and delivering instruction, reporting on student progress • Developing the classroom schedule • Maintaining student data systems • Creating and facilitating student transition plans • Meeting with students at least once every twenty school attendance days with student and parent for progress monitoring purposes. Instruction will emphasize acquisition of functional and academic skills in the least restrictive manner and setting as specified in the IEP under the current model of Arete Charter Academy.
