Must be over eighteen years of age (VC-12516). Selected applicants will be enrolled in district sponsored bus driver training class. In order to be hired as a Substitute Bus Driver, the applicant must be able to obtain appropriate California Driver's License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, a current medical certificate, a current special certificate to drive a school bus and verification of first aid training for school bus drivers. Classroom and behind-the-wheel training provided by the District at no cost. (Outside testing fees from the DMV and CHP are not included).
