DESCRIPTION: Under general director, the Director I, Education Technology and Innovations (ETI) provides leadership in developing, implementing, and promoting the District’s vision for educational technology and innovation. The ETI Director plans, manages, and coordinates the delivery of ETI services to ensure effective integration of technology and innovation in curricular, instructional, and administrative areas. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Valid Administrative Credential ? Master Degree in Education, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related academic area ? College coursework in computer science or closely related field ? Successful teacher and/or administrative experience utilizing technology in the classroom/school ? Strong leadership and management skills ? Strong research skills ? Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse multi-ethnic setting ? Valid California Driver’s License ? Valid Proof of Insurance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Knowledge of theories, trends, and practices related to administrative and educational use of technology. ? Knowledge of effective technology integration into teaching and learning in all disciplines. ? Knowledge of the integration of educational technology into teaching and learning in all disciplines. Knowledge of innovative teaching and learning programs/strategies and the integration with all disciplines. ? Knowledge of network, infrastructure, hardware and software management. ? Experience in managing, planning and implementing management information systems and academic computing systems.
