CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENT -Possession of a valid California credential authorizing service as a school nurse. (or willing to take required courses to get credential) -Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator’s license. -Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse license. -Must possess, or be willing to obtain, AHA/CPR Instructor’s Certification. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION -Two years of experience as a nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric care setting performing specialized services in student health and welfare programs. -Possession of an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in educational health and welfare, school nursing, or public health nursing programs.
The following items must be attached to your application to be considered: • Valid California School Nurse Services Credential • Valid California Registered Nurse License • Letter of Introduction (Letter of introduction should be addressed to Dr. Teresa Egan, Associate Superintendent of Human Resources) •Resume •3 letters of Recommendation current within the last year. (please include one letter from an administrative level) Incomplete application packets will be excluded from the screening process. Applications will be automatically rejected if you attach a driver’s license or any document with a photo of yourself and/or indicating your age.
