Application Procedure A complete application file consists: - Certificated online application through EdJoin - Cover letter - Current resume - Three current letters of supervisory references - Copy of valid California credential(s) - Authorization to instruct English Learners Preferred but not Required (credential with embedded EL authorization, CLAD, BCLAD or SDAIE certification) We are looking for: High School English Teachers to work with our youth grades 9 through 12. Applicant must demonstrate - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills - Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in English - Demonstrated knowledge of child growth and development at each level of instruction and of the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of adolescent students Responsibilities include (but not limited to): - Plan lessons that teach students a subject that align with state and school stands and curriculum. - Assess students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses - Teach lessons they have planned to an entire class or to smaller groups - Grade students’ assignments to monitor their progress - Communicate with parents about their child’s progress - Work with students individually to help them overcome specific learning challenges - Prepare students for standardized tests required by the state - Develop and enforce classroom rules - Familiarity with Aeries SIS and Edmentum Curriculum is preferred
