JOB DESCRIPTION: Nativity School is seeking a dynamic and innovative learning specialist to join the Lower and Middle School teams. The desired candidate should have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); be comfortable collaborating with teachers, administration, and parents; and will have demonstrated experience and commitment to the education of students with learning disabilities and challenges. We are committed to strengthening and enriching student learning through innovative teaching methods that put the students and their own goals for the future at the center of all learning experiences and empower students to identify and solve problems, bridge content across traditional “subject” domains, and develop an unshakable growth mindset. STRONG CANDIDATES POSSESS: ? Commitment to Nativity School’s Mission and Philosophy. ? Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Curriculum, General Education or a related field required; Master’s preferred. ? Valid California teaching credential or acquire within five years of hire date of hire. ? Experience as a Learning Specialist or Resource teacher for students with mild to moderate learning challenges, preferably at a Catholic or an independent school. ?
