The Summer Aquatics Director will be responsible to the Summer Athletic Director for supervising the organization and implementation of the Summer Aquatics Program. The Summer Aquatics Program includes the swimming lessons and the recreational swimming (infants through adults). The Aquatics Director must hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate and a Lifesaver Certification from the American Red Cross or will ensure that a head lifeguard possessing these qualifications is on duty. Responsibilities will include: -Daily supervision of task assignments for Summer Aquatics Programs. -Assists in preparation of High School Summer Aquatics Program proposals, advance notices, and schedule of programs. -Selects program staff. -Works with Personnel Services to post and select staffing positions. -Works with Business Services to establish and maintain effective accounting practices. -Collects and deposits all funds from each program and maintains all records and payroll for each program. -Approves time cards for the High School Summer Aquatics staff to ensure that all programs balance income with expenses. -Supervises the 6-week program at the facility. -Facilitates registration. -Purchases concessions, equipment, supplies, etc. -Coordinates public relations for the program with the community newspapers and District Office. -Arranges registration for aquatics and high school summer league participants. -Prepares a FINAL REPORT at the end of the Summer Sports Program that meets the expectations of Business Services.
