Under the direction of the Supervisor-Transportation, transport students over scheduled routes; ensure safety of students while being transported to an assigned location on a designated route; maintain order and discipline among passengers on the bus; perform regular safety inspections of the buses; operate the school bus in a safe manner. **This position is for a Trainee. The van route that will be driven will be for 4 hours per day. Training to become a certified school bus driver will be in addition to the fours hours per day route and will be paid accordingly. Only California Driver’s License, Class C needed. Job Description pending Board of Directors and Personnel Commission approval.

* Schedule: Monday thru Friday
* Range 27: $18.36 - $20.23 per hour (steps 1-3 of a six step salary schedule)
* Must be 24 years of age or older
* Be able to work 180 days per year
* Subject to random drug screening
* Must be able to read, write and speak English
* Must have NO points with the California Department of Motor Vehicles
