Primary Function: The Assistant Office Clerk/Health Aide’s primary responsibility is to assist the Office Manager and Office Clerk with the day-to-day operations and health needs of TK-4th grade students at the Hollygrove campus. The Assistant Office Clerk/Health Aide supports the general office duties and basic health needs of students, including but not limited to students with various ongoing medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, allergies, Celiac’s Disease, as well as student injuries or illnesses that arise, such as bumps, scrapes, bruises, bee stings, lice checks, viruses, and fevers. The Assistant Office Clerk/Health Aide helps maintain a clean and courteous office environment and provides emotional support to ill children as well. With direction from the Office Manager and School Leader, this position manages student health needs that arise and communicates with parents and staff as needed in a caring and professional manner.

Title of Position: Health Aide/Office Clerk Directly Responsible to: Office Manager/School Leaders Status: 10 month/Non-Exempt/Part-Time/Hourly Start Time: ASAP Minimum Qualifications: (*) Licensed Vocational Nurse (preferred) (*) CPR, AED and First Aid certificates (LCS can provide referral if hired) (*) Familiarity working with school-aged children (*) TB Test clearance & DOJ fingerprinting clearance (*) One to two years related experience and/or training (preferred) (*) A demonstrated commitment to strong customer service, high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace (*) Strong communication skills both in person, by phone, and by email About Larchmont Schools: Larchmont Schools was founded in 2004 in Los Angeles by a group of parents who were inspired to create an academically rigorous and diverse neighborhood school.
