Job Summary

The Assistant Principal is responsible for managing all aspects of the Pathways to College (“PTC”). The Assistant Principal (“AP”) is responsible for assisting the Principal with any and all aspects of the leadership, operations, management and growth of PTC. This work includes staff management, the implementation of policies, annual goals, strategic objectives, financials, programs, student discipline and the administrative management of the organization. The AP will be the Administrative Designee at all times the Principal is unavailable. The AP is responsible for identification of students with attendance issues or disciplinary problems and addresses those issues with teachers and parents to create a positive outcome. The AP will conduct follow-up on referrals from staff pertaining to student conduct and discipline. The AP will attend Annual IEP’s in the role of Admin Designee as requested by the Principal and provide oversight for the special education program. The AP will participate in the planning and development of scheduling, staff training and professional development. The AP will enforce as well as abide by all provisions of law, rules and regulations relating to the management of PTC and other educational, social and recreational activities under the direction of the Executive Director and the Board.
