THE POSITION: The expected work project for this position is January 6, 2020 through June 30, 2020. This position is responsible for providing direct project planning, coordination and support for Census 2020 efforts in Alameda County districts. TYPICAL DUTIES: Manages day-to-day activities for the agency’s Census 2020 program for ensuring compliance with implementation plan. Promotes Census participation within the local community (e.g. service organization presentations, promotional material distribution, media contacts, Web page content creation, attendance at school functions, etc.). Collaborates with a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. district personnel, community organizations, Alameda County and State Census representatives, etc.) for the purpose of meeting and reporting Alameda County Office of Education’s Census 2020 Educational Outreach Plan program goals. Serves as a resource to staff, parents and students for promoting participation in the Census. Conducts and/or supports workshops for the purpose of providing students with information regarding program projects components and implementing program goals. Complies with processes, procedures, and systems for the purpose of implementing, monitoring and reporting the program objectives. Ensures compliance with contract for project expenditures for ensuring purchases are within county and district requirements/regulations. Obtains clearance paperwork from volunteers and oversees volunteers for providing guidance and/or direction with their job functions. Participates and/or facilitates meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of promoting the program, and resolving programmatic issues.

QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Two years of experience collecting and reporting data. Demonstrated experience performing data entry and computer usage. Community outreach and organizing experience is also required. Education: Bachelor's degree. Equivalency: A combination of job related experience and education. A valid CA Driver’s License/Evidence of Insurability must be maintained at all times. LOCATION: 313 W.
