JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Custodian's primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. All Custodians are to report to their site administrator/plant manager (s). The custodian is responsible for  maintaining the facilities of the school site. The custodian is responsible for ensuring that the facility is well maintained and running appropriately to maintenance standards. 

REPORTS TO :                           PLANT MANAGER/SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR (S)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintaining the quality of school facilities.

• Responsible for assisting in the school safety plan: disaster preparation, fire drills, student, staff and public safety, and student health.

• Maintain equipment, textbook and supply inventories.

• Coordinate with administration to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students.

• Maintain regular attendance.

• Must understand, and follow, practices, policies and procedures regarding:

  • Laws, rules and regulations related to assigned activities.

  • District operations policies, procedures and objectives

  • Health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working with students in a learning environment preferred

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

• Experience with email preferred

• Must be flexible, positive, detail-oriented, team player patient and willing to learn.
