DUTIES: Under the direction of the site administrator or athletic director, instructs students in skills necessary for achievement; holds try-outs and regular practices; attends all games. Works closely with athletic director in all matters pertaining to the program; oversees the safety of the facility or area in which sport is conducted. Enforces appropriate student behavior; maintains positive, cooperative working relationships with District personnel. Performs other job related duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as an athletic coach and ability to work with middle school students is desirable. Knowledge of coaching theory and techniques; rules and regulations; child or adolescent psychology and human growth and development of youth.   Must possess skills to coach organized competitive athletics; training and conditioning of adolescents; possess the ability to hear and speak to exchange information in person, on the telephone, and on the radio; clarity of vision to read documents; valid Tuberculin Clearance, DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Mandated Reporter Training, Concussion Training and CPR/First Aid Certificate
