Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the administrator and lead nurse, this position performs general office and clerical duties requiring the ability to interpret and apply procedures and policies to assigned responsibilities. Clerical duties require the ability to perform light typing/keyboarding using a typewriter or computer and familiarity of modern office procedures. Nursing functions include but are not limited to First Aid, CPR, administration of medications, specialized healthcare procedures and techniques, signs and symptoms of child abuse, infection control procedures, hazardous waste management, record keeping and reporting requirements. A copy of all the following required documentation must be attached to the employment application at time of filing: •Possession of a valid State of California License of Vocational Nursing, or Registered Nursing. •Depending upon assignment, possession of a valid State of California Class "C" driver's license. Ability to be insured at standard vehicle liability and property damage insurance rates and maintain insurability. •Possession of a standard Red Cross First-Aid Certificate within three months of appointment may be required
