FALL SPORTS: Bear Creek High School: Cross Country Golf - Girls Tennis - Girls Volleyball - Girls Football Water Polo Sideline Cheer Lodi High School: Cross Country Golf - Girls Tennis - Girls Volleyball - Girls Football Water Polo Sideline Cheer McNair High School: Cross Country Golf - Girls Tennis - Girls Volleyball - Girls Football Water Polo Sideline Cheer Tokay High School: Cross Country Golf - Girls Tennis - Girls Volleyball - Girls Football Water Polo Sideline Cheer Requirements at time of application: Coaching theory and techniques in the sport or game being coached, as evidenced by one of more of the following:

  • Completion of a college course in coaching theory and techniques
  • Completion of in-service programs arranged by a school district or county office of education
  • Prior service as a student coach or assistant athletic coach in the sport or game being coached
  • Prior coaching in the community youth athletic programs in the sport to be coached
  • Prior participation in organized competitive athletics at the high school level or above in the sport to be coached
Knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the sport or game being coached, the league rules, and the regulations of the CIF

Knowledge of child or adolescent psychology as it relates to sports participation as evidenced by one or more of the following:

  • Completion of a college-level course in adolescent or sports psychology
  • Completion of a seminar or workshop on human growth and development of youth
  • Prior active involvement with youth in a school or community sports program

Requirements prior to supervising students:

  • Fingerprint Clearance
  • TB Clearance
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Authorization
  • NFHS Concussion Course
  • NFHS Sudden Cardiac Awareness Course
  • NFHS Heat Illness Course

Requirements within one year of appointment:

    • NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
