Job Summary

We have openings for school-based mental health clinicians (ERMHS) in the San Mateo County Area. Positions are full time (school days and school hours). Beacon School is a non-public school providing contracted mental health services within public school to Special Education services with a variety of disabilities (including Emotional Disturbance, learning disabilities, Autism, or speech and language issues). Clinicians provide IEP based mental health supports which can include individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, or push-in classroom support to Special Education students within comprehensive public school campuses. Duties include maintaining a regular caseload of clients and initial assessments; attending and presenting goals and updates at IEPs; and collaborating with school staff and mental health service agencies. Qualified candidates must be registered with the BBS as either associates (MFT or LPCC licensure track) or licensed LMFT or LPCC. Successful candidates will be able to manage a full caseload of 15-20 direct client contact hours weekly as well as clinical documentation and expected collaboration with school teams. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
