Under supervision and general direction of the Transportation Supervisor, the Bus Driver Instructor trains and evaluates the driving performance of bus drivers, maintains training records, drives a school bus over designated routes, and does related work as required.

PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING: * Letter of introduction * Resume * Three current letters of recommendation (signed & dated) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Two years of recent successful experience in the operation of school buses, preferably in Ukiah Unified School District. * Valid California Class B Driver’s License with School Bus Driver’s certification; passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement; a valid medical certificate (Form DL51); a good driving record verified by a DMV printout; passing required drug and alcohol screening. * Possess, and maintain as a condition for ongoing employment, a State of California certification as a School Bus Driver Instructor including successful completion of the appropriate instructor course gen or approved by the department (Education Code 40088). OR * Within six months of hire become certified as a California State certified delegated behind the wheel trainer. * Possess and maintain as a condition for ongoing employment, First Aid/CPR certificates.
