The Chabot – Las Positas Community College District is seeking a PT Photography Instructor for Chabot College in Hayward for our adjunct pool. The successful candidate will have a strong academic or commercial experience in digital photography. To apply, please send required application materials by email to the contact listed in the job description.

Examples of Duties:

1. Teach beginning courses in Photography including; Introduction to Photography, Photoshop.

2. Teach intermediate courses in Photography; Color Photography, Artificial Lighting, Portfolio.

3. The teaching assignment includes creating a syllabus, teaching the course and evaluating students.

4. Teach day, evening, or weekend courses.

5. Provide student support in a digital lab environment. 

6. Participate in the development of the Photography Program and Chabot College goals through course development and student engagement.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s in photography, fine arts, or art OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in art history or humanities OR the equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications: Recent commercial photography experience preferred.
