Job Description / Essential Elements:
Performs any combination of following instructional tasks in a preschool classroom setting and supervision of students outside of the classroom
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned by the Director, Preschool/DayCare.
Assists Head Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program as it relates to children and their classroom activities.
Implementation of curriculum, program scheduling and behavior modification.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily classroom activity.
Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and parents.
Create and maintain a safe and attractive learning environment.
Perform other tasks related to the operation of the child care center.
Knows and follows established child care policies.
Expand job knowledge and classroom skills on an on-going basis.
Know emergency procedures, rules and regulations.
Attends all staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Performs minor classroom cleanup duties.
High School Diploma or Equivalency, Must have 12 semester units of ECE or Child Development at an accredited university.
Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card.
Previous experience with children desired.
Must be able to deal with a wide range of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness and poise
