Job Summary

The Twin Ridges Elementary Board of Trustees is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of District Superintendent/Principal. The candidate will serve as principal of the two district schools and will assume leadership of the district on October 8, 2019. The Board is seeking a highly motivated and skilled educator to lead the district in educational excellence. The District is geographically the largest in Nevada County and is comprised of two small, rural, traditional K-8 schools, both of which are Title I schools. The total student population hovers around 100 students. The district is currently designated as a basic aid district. Washington School is located in the town of Washington. The school was built in 1905 and has 5 students. Grizzly Hill School is located on the San Juan Ridge and has 95 students. Grizzly Hill School will be converting to solar power this summer. The district employs six classroom teachers, a resource teacher, several aides, and enrichment specialists. The library is the pride of the district and houses over 14,000 books. The 2019-2020 general fund budget is $2.285 million.
