APPLICANTS FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

1. A completed District Application

2. Copy of Social Security Card

3. Copy of Driver’s License

4. Copy of TB test results or TB Risk Questionnaire

5. Copy of CBEST Card

6. Copy of Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit

7. One letter of character recommendation from either a district you have previously worked for or your Master Teacher

9. Fingerprints*

*Fingerprints are required for all new substitutes.  If you have been fingerprinted  by another district, please let us know so we can clear you by checking our fingerprint system.  Otherwise, an appointment will be made for you to have your fingerprints  done at the Fresno County Office of Education.

$175 for a FULL day (Fall- 7:50:00-3:00) (Spring 7:50-2:30)

Substitute teachers are required to remain on campus for the FULL duration of their contracted assignment. While substitutes are permitted to leave the premises during their scheduled lunch break, they must ensure they are readily available and on-site for the remainder of the day. This availability is necessary in the event of unexpected teacher illness, sudden emergencies, or other unanticipated needs that may arise. Please see the sub-coordinator before the teacher's prep period to discuss the school site's needs. 

$88 for a half day (4 hours or less) 

$185 per day Long term 20 + Days, on the twenty first (21) consecutive day in the same classroom, retroactive to the first day or at the beginning of the assignment. 

$93- KJUHSD retired teachers returning to substitute teach. Half day Long term  (4 hours or less).
