HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

 

BASIC FUNCTION/DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Provide Information to the public and perform clerical duties to support Human Resource Services functions including new employee processing, benefits credentials attendance reporting.

Representative Duties:

  • Answer questions from the public and staff by phone or in person regarding Altus School Human Resource Services activities.
  • Reviews and verifies incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Answer or refer inquiries from the public and from staff pertaining to procedures, rules and regulations, and direct public traffic flow to appropriate departments and divisions.
  • Perform general clerical tasks such as type correspondence and agreements, and file documents.
  • Internal staff movements/transitions of Certificated and Classified staff.
  • Annual Contracting.
  • Process new hires.
  • Teacher Credentialing Monitoring.
  • Mandated Audeits for compliance expectations.
  • Verification of Employment.
  • Distribution of Keys, Parking Passes.
  • Technology Request TME.
  • Benefit Transitions.
  • Process Timesheets.
  • Vacation and Work Calendars.
  • Maintain log of Daily Attendance.
  • Prepare documents and assemble job packets for interviews, employee orientation, etc.
  • Provide assistance and coordination in the development and maintenance of specialized human resources databses, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Operate standard office machines and telephones.
  • Perform related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to two years of full-time, paid clerical experience including public contact • Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary • Modern office practices and procedures • Human resources policies and organization • Operate standard office equipment • Communicate effectively orally and in writing • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others • Plan and organize work • Meet schedules and time lines • Bachelors Degree
