Job Summary

Under the direction of the Porterville College Foundation Science, Mathematics and Resource Technology (SMART) Lab Committee and the Foundation Executive Director, the SMART Lab Director will organize, plan and implement operational activities of the department; and provide highly responsible and complex administrative and technical support to the SMART Lab program. Including curriculum development and instruction, developing, producing and coordinating SMART Lab programs, developing and maintaining multimedia and SMART Lab equipment and performing other work as required.

Ability to: • Plan, organize and administer SMART Lab services; • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions and implement recommendations in support of program goals; • Meet schedules and time lines; • Work independently with little direction; • Plan and organize work; • Work out-of-doors in harsh weather • Operate a personal computer, audio-visual equipment, hand-held radios • Lift fifty pounds unassisted • Speak with an audible voice for large groups of students • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist and turn to demonstrate student activities • Work flexible hours

Credential Requirements: California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential.
