Under the direction of the Director of Transportation plans, organizes and supervises the daily operation of the district’s transportation program and ensures that required in-service training takes place.

Education and/or Experience • Must have the verbal, quantitative, and interpersonal skills normally acquired through the completion of a post-secondary course of study. • Must have minimum five years’ experience in transportation. • Must have extensive experience in direct supervision of departmental personnel. • Must have ability to plan, organize, and delegate assignments. • Must possess motivational skills and the ability to train and develop personnel. • Must have experience in routing and fleet management. • Must possess appropriate School Bus C.D.L. Class B license and certificate • Must qualify for and maintain CDE instructor certificate • Must have a participative management style and be an advocate of team concept. • Must have well developed interpersonal skills and have the ability to promote harmonious relationships with staff, peers, and supervisors. • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Must be results oriented.
