Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Systems Improvement and Leadership Development serves as an instructional improvement and transformation strategist for technical assistance and support provided to local educational agencies, charter schools, and county offices of education (COEs) by the CCEE. The Director of Systems Improvement and Leadership Development will work with CCEE staff, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to investigate problems of practice, develop theories of improvement, including test promising change ideas, and coordinate support to identified technical assistance areas of need. The aim of this role is to build the infrastructure, processes and metrics of success that will be utilized when engaging with local educational agencies, charter schools, and county offices of education (COE) that will lead to a positive impact on student achievement and closing the achievement gap of historically underserved and underperforming student groups. In addition, this leadership role will further build the network of support providers and CCEE’s expertise in instructional practice and leadership.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years leading and coaching improvement efforts in districts and schools, preferably with district office or county office experience at the cabinet level.
