Under general supervision, to lead and participate fully in the work of electrical, maintenance, repair of refrigeration, ventilation, heating, and a wide variety of electronic equipment and other skilled craft work in the maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, facilities, and miscellaneous equipment; assists to plan, organize, assign, and direct the work of assigned personnel; and to do related work as required. Education and Experience: Three years of general repair and maintenance at a skilled level, or at least one year of journeyman experience in one or a combination of the trades. Varied training and experience in more than one skilled trade is highly desirable. Individuals possessing the experience, knowledge, and abilities listed above are considered to possess the necessary education. Formalized schooling in the skilled trade area is highly desirable. Candidates are required to attach a recent DMV driving record to the employment application.
