Job Summary: The Governing Board of Lewiston Elementary School District is seeking an educational leader with an administrative and teaching credential to lead our rural California elementary school district into the future. This combined Superintendent / Teaching position will require a unique combination of skills that are outlined in the following, separate but unified, job descriptions. The Superintendent job description is specific to this position. The teacher job description should be analyzed in conjunction with the Addendum, which specifically describes the teaching component of the combined positions. Position(s) and Typical Schedule: This full-time position serves as the Superintendent/Principal for the school district/school as well as co-teacher for the 6-8 grade class. A typical schedule would consist of school year mornings (182 days), three hours will be in the 6-8 classroom and one-half hour in each of the two other classes (K-2, 3-5). Afternoons would be spent performing superintendent and principal duties. Thirty (30) additional days of time are included for the superintendent/principal for summer and/or extra school year needs. About Lewiston Elementary: This position is located at Lewiston Elementary School District. This is a K-8, one-school District of approximately 60 students located in the small, rural community of Lewiston just 30 miles west of Redding.
