RESOURCE INTERVENTION CONSULTANT OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Principal, the position is responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of the Central Catholic High School’s resource program and intervention services. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Guide the development and implementation of long-range and short-range plans for achieving resource goals and objectives in alignment with CCHS’s strategic plan. 2. Direct resource services for all resource students with specific learning disabilities and students who are not identified as SLD but need intervention services as determined by professionals working with students to ensure they have access to the school core curriculum. 3. Collaborates and consults with CCHS’s Counselors and teachers to coordinate services provided for the purpose of maintaining existing programs and implementing new services in accordance with established timeframes, professional standards and related requirements. 4. Maintain open lines of communication regarding resource/intervention with all interested parties; respond to concerns of parents, teachers, administrators. 5. Facilitate research regarding trends and best practices to support appropriate recommendations for student success through rigorous, innovative, and technological programming. 6. Collaborates, plan, implement and facilitate professional development/in-services for staff with the purpose of implementing and maintaining services in accordance with programmatic and regulatory requirements. 7. Facilitates meetings that may frequently involve a range of issues for the purpose of evaluating situations, identifying appropriate actions, developing recommendations, implementing IEP plans. 8. Serves as a resource to CCHS’s personnel and as a liaison to for the purpose of explaining procedures conveying and/or receiving information as needed for the planning, developing and evaluating of services related to resource

The Resource Specialist will provide consultation, planning, curricular resources, coordination, and evaluation for students who utilize the resource program. This position requires excellent communication skills vital to successful Student Academic Accommodation Plans in consultation with teachers, counselors, support staff, and parents. Candidate must provide service to the student and his/her teachers to enable successful integration in a college preparatory/general education classroom setting. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and Implement Student Academic Accommodation Plan: testing, collection of informal data, communicates/collaborates with general education teachers and parents, observes student performance. Work with resource students to accommodate or adapt to general education curriculum; provide education services in varied environments. Confers with teaching staff and counselors for the purpose of providing input into the evaluation of student’s progress and/or implementing or modifying student objectives. Act as a resource to the school staff in the Resource Specialists’ areas of expertise, (i.e. assessment, remediation of basic skills). Provide support services to the general education teachers. Monitor student progress, participates in review and revision of Student Success Plan, as appropriate. Help in planning and preparing lesson plans that utilize a variety of instructional strategies. Differentiate support and teaching based on the diverse and individual needs of all students. Maintain high expectations for students’ learning and overall conduct. Develop and administer a variety of assessments to measure students’ growth towards goals. Communicate and build positive relationships with students, students’ families, colleagues and other stakeholders while keeping professional boundaries. Work collaboratively in a professional learning community. Maintain appropriate and timely student data and other records.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE Required: Bachelor's degree Preferred: Education Specialist Instruction California Credential Mild/Moderate, CA Teaching Credential, and/or Master’s Degree Finger printing CPR/First-aid Submit follow items; Resume Letter of Interest 3 Letters of Reference Proof of Degree
