Job Summary

The job of the Maintenance Technician is done for the purpose(s) of providing maintenance services with specific responsibility for ensuring completion of required maintenance and repair duties necessary to maintain assigned facilities; performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, ventilating systems, etc.); performing routine and emergency repairs and adjustments to buildings and facilities; proper planning to ensure that tools and materials are available at job site(s), and assisting other maintenance workers.

Education: Any combination equivalent to: Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform a variety of carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing repair and maintenance work. Qualified applicants should attach resume and two current letters of recommendation to completed application. This is not an entry level position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess valid California Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability Must be able to pass Maintenance Proficiency exam; Must be able to pass medical fitness exam and background check. Possess or ability to obtain an EPA Pesticide Applicator’s license. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be experienced in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing repair and maintenance work.

Possession of, or the ability to obtain, and EPA Pesticide Applicator's license.
