We need a Middle School Math Teacher to teach 5 periods/week in 7th and 8th grades (each) and 4 periods/week in 6th grade at Sebastopol Independent Charter School in Sebastopol, California. The position is minimum a 78% math teaching position, but with extra math support (study hall lessons) it can be around 94% (with full-time benefits). It can be 100% full-time with also teaching two 3-week science blocks. A multiple subject credential or single subject credential (in math) is required. Alternatively, the teacher can enroll in a credential program and teach under a temporary credential for the first year. The pay is $52,000 - $75,000 depending on previous experience and education/training. Health benefits include a $1,000/month contribution to a Kaiser health care plan and free dental care for the whole family. Retirement benefits is through the excellent California State Teachers Retirement System. We are the first official Public Waldorf school with a collaborative faculty. We are located on a 20-acre campus and there is a designated math and science classroom for middle school.
