EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Five years of law enforcement experience, with an emphasis on investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing and locating witnesses, investigating the scene of the crime, and writing reports of findings for use in the prosecution of defendants is desired. Responsible supervisory experience within criminal law enforcement and working experience in educational law enforcement is highly desirable. Baccalaureate degree or equivalent from an accredited college, university or school with specialization in Police Science/Criminal Justice is desired. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED Must be twenty-on (21) years old by the filing deadline; possess a current California Drivers’ License, a good driving record, and proof of insurance are required. Completion of P.O.S.T. Training as identified in California Government Code §1031 and be eligible for certification within one (1) year of appointment, if not already certified; successful completion of physical agility test, firearms certification, report writing, and communication skills test, and P.O.S.T.
