$35.08 - $67.72 an hour as per the Certificated Salary Schedule. Additional $1,363 awarded annually for an MA, PhD, or EdD earned from an accredited college or university (prorated for part time employment).

Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, implement and coordinate activities that support the student’s education program; demonstrate extensive knowledge and practical application of behavioral principles, practices, methods and strategies applicable to students with a variety of disabilities, including behavior management based on positive reinforcement; support the successful integration of students with special needs into the general education classroom, resource classroom, or special day classroom and other school settings; possess personal qualities including leadership, integrity, fairness, optimism, self-confidence, persistence and vitality.

• Possess a valid California Special Education Teaching Credential authorizing teaching students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities; • EL Authorization is required; • A Master of Arts Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred; • Three (3) years successful teaching experience working with a wide range of age groups and special needs preferred; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform assigned duties, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
