Job Summary

The purpose of an EPIC Coach is to increase the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction through coaching that promotes reflective thinking, increases the novice teacher’s instructional skills, facilitates the use of student data to mold instruction and increase student achievement, and promotes and encourages a life-long passion for learning and teaching.

REQUIRED MINIMUM TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND LICENSING • Possession of a Clear Educational Specialist Credential and English Learner Authorization • Knowledge of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP) & Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs) REQUIRED MINIMUM PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE • Three years of experience as a special education teacher • Prior coaching experience (preferred)
