Equity Leaders will engage in the following: Complete Foundational Equity Learning Series (new Equity Leaders only). Complete Compassionate Dialogue Strategic Practice sessions. Complete Listening Circle training. Participate in at least three (3) Equity Leader workplan activities to be developed by the Director of Social-Emotional Learning and Equity. Provide cultural competence training to staff based on the request by site principal and approved by the Director of Social-Emotional Learning and Equity. Interested staff members should apply through the in-house application process.

This position is supplemental to your current position in the District, and is not site-specific (can be from any site). Must be a 1.0 FTE employee with the District. The District is looking for up to 20 Certificated Personnel to work as Equity Leaders. Equity Leaders will go through Training of Trainers (T.o.T.) training and will provide Professional Development (PD) on Cultural Competence to District staff. Pay: Upon completion of the Cultural Competence Certification and full participation in the training program, Equity Leaders will be paid a 1.04 ratio factor on top of his/her salary. Equity Leaders will receive six release days to participate in (receive and give) training. Position is for a 2-year term. During the Spring/Summer of 2019, Equity Leaders will need to complete training and online coursework to receive a Cultural Readiness Certification.
Must have a valid California credential.
